Job summary

LifeNet Health in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Processing Technician CV to perform tissue processing, preservation, and storage in an FDA-regulated environment. You will work in a team under aseptic conditions and contribute to quality assessments and documentation for life-saving allografts.

The role requires physical stamina (lift up to 50 lbs) and adherence to PPE protocols, with a schedule of Saturday–Monday evenings. CTBS certification or a biology-related degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older to apply
• Zero years of work experience is required.
• Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS) Certification preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• One (1) year Tissue Processing Experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Tissue Processing: Review work orders or processing instructions prior to production and perform all debridement, dissection, cutting, cleaning and disinfection as per procedures.
• Packaging: handle tissue packaging and preservation, confirm sizing and quality.
• Documentation & Data Entry: record all processes and keep accurate records.
• Decontamination: clean equipment and processing room after use according to protocols.
