Job summary

Pendleton Woolen Mills in Washougal, WA is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily production in a union setting. You will ensure safety, quality, cost and delivery while supervising staff and enforcing the CBA.

Responsibilities include staffing, coaching, discipline, documentation, and continuous improvement on the production floor. The role requires at least five years in production management within a union environment; strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Five years of production management experience, preferably in a union environment.
• Experience with performance management, coaching, corrective action, and documentation.
• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to lead a diverse workforce and address concerns promptly and professionally.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and timekeeping/other business systems.
• Experience monitoring KPIs; Lean or CI knowledge preferred; ISO 9001/QMS familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Enforce safety standards and address unsafe conditions immediately.
• Assign work, set priorities, and adjust staffing to meet production goals.
• Monitor quality and ensure products meet specifications.
• Train and coach employees, verify understanding and application of tasks, and provide feedback.
• Apply policies and the Collective Bargaining Agreement consistently and fairly.
• Maintain accurate documentation of performance, attendance, and incidents.
• Lead Tier 1 shift meetings and communicate expectations clearly.
• Support QMS requirements, audits, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Identify and resolve operational, production, and equipment issues; coordinate with maintenance.
