Job summary

Ozarks Electric Cooperative in Fayetteville, AR is seeking a System Operator I for a 7 pm–7 am shift (4 days on/4 days off). You will monitor and control transmission and distribution, respond to alarms, and coordinate with field personnel to restore service safely and efficiently.

Requires a high school diploma; first System Operator Certification module must be completed within 12 months. Experience with SCADA/OMS is advantageous and cross-department collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must complete the first module of the System Operator Certification within 12 months.
• Proficiency in data entry, clerical tasks, and use of office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operates radio, takes trouble calls and dispatches.
• Coordinates load requirements for transmission and distribution.
• Perform duties during high workloads and emergencies.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with NERC OECC policies.
• Assist in safe restoration of service and issuing switching orders.
• Monitor system conditions and log alarms and SOL.
