Job summary

Advocate Health’s Lincoln facility seeks a Full-time Surgical Technician for the Obstetrics/Gynecology OR. The role supports aseptic technique, instrument handling, and room turnover while collaborating with the OR team to ensure patient safety and efficient surgery workflows.

Working three 12-hour night shifts with weekends rotating, you will be part of a comprehensive Total Rewards package including health benefits, PTO, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology required or military training in Surgical Technology/Operating Room Specialist.
• Current NBSTSA or NCCT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparing patient and assembly of supplies and instruments.
• Maintains aseptic technique and monitors sterility.
• Supports RN circulator and room turnover and patient prep.
• Documents charges and manages specimen disposition.
• Participates in performance improvement and department training.
