Job summary

Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support operating room teams during procedures and maintain sterile technique on a part-time, night-shift basis. The role involves preparing instruments, assisting surgeons, and transporting patients as needed, within a comprehensive care environment.

Requirements include one year of OR training or experience, graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program, BLS certification, and NJ-required surgical technologist

Qualifications

• One year OR training or experience required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Training Program.
• BLS and Surgical Technologist Certification required for external hires per NJ State Law; maintain 15 CEs per year.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs for, prepares, sets-up and assists during any surgical procedure and provides support to nursing and ancillary departments by transporting and transferring patients to and between units when necessary.
• Prepares instruments and supplies for future procedures.
• Collects and handles specimens according to policy and procedures.
