Job summary

IU Health Methodist in downtown Indianapolis is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the OR team. You will prepare the operating room, arrange instruments, and support the surgical staff before, during, and after procedures.

The role requires NBSTSA CST certification within four months of employment, BLS, a High School Diploma/GED, and the ability to anticipate the surgeon's needs and manage sterile fields.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist within four months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and manage sterile fields.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room with equipment, supplies and instrumentation.
• Assist surgeon in the operating room as needed.
• Turnover OR after procedures, including processing specimens and supplies.
