Job summary

15900 St Marys Hospital and Medical Center Inc is seeking a Registered Nurse for the nights shift in our Surgical Unit. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, coordinating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, evidence-based nursing interventions.

Required is current RN licensure in the applicable state and BLS; a BSN is preferred and may be required within four years for new hires.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice.
• Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their BSN within four (4) years of their hire date.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, social and psychological status (including cognitive, communicative, and developmental skills as appropriate).
• Collaborate with patient, family and interdisciplinary team to develop and implement an individualized plan of care.
• Coordinate and direct the interdisciplinary care team, delegate duties, and manage time, supplies, and resources.
• Evaluate patient responses and outcomes, revise the plan as needed, and ensure ongoing education for patient and family.
• Uphold professionalism, regulatory compliance, accurate documentation, and ethical standards in care delivery.
