Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking an experienced registered nurse for the 4th Surgery Med Surg Unit. You will participate in comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The role requires a BSN preferred, BLS, and an RN license in the applicable state.

The position offers 3 shifts of 12 hours per week, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with a pay range of $38.20 to $57.30 per hour.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state of licensure.
• BLS certification; additional certifications may be required by specialty.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds a culture of safety and ensures accurate EHR documentation.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocols and guidelines.
• Communicates effectively, delegates appropriately, and pursues ongoing education.
