Temple Health is seeking a Supervisor for Specimen Processing on the Night Shift at Temple Hospital. This role supervises phlebotomy and processing, manages payroll, scheduling and inventory, and ensures accurate patient/specimen data handling to yield reliable lab results.

The ideal candidate has 5 years in phlebotomy/specimen processing and 1 year in a supervisory role, with education aligned to a lab science path, and preferred MT/ASCP credentials.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; bachelor's preferred.
• 5 years phlebotomy/specimen processing in a clinical lab.
• 1 year supervisory experience required.
• AMT or ASCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day activities of Specimen Processing and phlebotomy.
• Handle payroll, scheduling and inventory control for the labs.
• Oversee pre- and post-analytic portions of lab processing.
• Record and manage patient/specimen information accurately.
• Ensure reliable lab results by staff guidance and accountability.
