The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS seeks a Night Shift, PRN Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) Student Nurse Tech (SNT). You will assist Registered Nurses and deliver direct patient care under supervision.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an accredited BSN RN program or ADN program; BLS within 14 days; prior healthcare experience preferred. This role supports patient comfort and safety in a fast-paced unit.

Qualifications

• Must have completed the first semester and currently enrolled in an accredited BSN RN program, or completed the equivalent time and be enrolled in a currently accredited ADN program.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
• Preference will be given to prior work experience in a comparable health care setting

Responsibilities

• The Student Nurse Tech (SNT) provides direct patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse as defined by the Kansas Nurse Practice Act. The SNT reports to the Director or designee.
