Job summary

Mary Bridge Children's Hospital is seeking a Supervisor of Central Service to lead the Sterile Processing Department (CSSD) at our Tacoma campus. You will oversee instrument cleaning, sterilization, and assembly across the hospital, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive quality and safety initiatives.

The role requires strong staff supervision, a background in central processing, and a commitment to teamwork in a fast-paced pediatric environment. Shift: Nights, with on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or two years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
• Completion of Central Processing Technician Course preferred.
• Sterile Processing Technician or Sterile Processing Manager certification preferred (IAHCSMM/CBSPD).
• Minimum three years of experience in Central Processing.
• Previous supervisory or lead capacity in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the direction and operations of the CSSD across the hospital.
• Ensure cleaning, sterilization and assembly of instruments per standards.
• Supervise staff and develop a culture of quality and safety.
• Maintain compliance with Joint Commission, state and federal regulations.
• Coordinate inter-department relations and performance improvement.
