Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure the cleanliness and availability of surgical instruments. Responsibilities include receiving, cleaning, and sterilizing instruments, as well as assisting in training staff and managing workflow.

The ideal candidate will possess a High School Diploma/GED, three years of Sterile Processing experience, and required certifications. This is a full-time position with a sign-on bonus of $8,500.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in Sterile Processing.
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) required.
• Certified Endoscopy Reprocessor (CER) licensing required within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Receives and decontaminates reusable instruments and equipment.
• Operates sterilization machines and prepares surgical trays.
• May lead operations in absence of the SPD Manager.
