Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts is seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Technician to assemble surgical instrument trays and ensure proper sterilization. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of Sterile Processing experience and certifications like CRCST or CSPDT. Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Minimum of two years of experience in Sterile Processing required.
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) required.

Responsibilities

• Transport and restock surgical instrumentation and medical materials.
• Receive, sort, clean, and decontaminate instruments and equipment.
• Operate and maintain cleaning and decontamination equipment.
• Inspect, prepare, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments.
• Load, program, and monitor sterilizers during cycles.
• Manage telephone communications and provide information.
• Provide departmental leadership in the absence of senior staff.
• Address customer requests and complete shift reports.
