Job summary

Atrium Health Pineville Main Sterile Distribution is seeking an Instrument Technician to support decontamination, prep and packing, sterilization, sterile storage, and patient care. This full-time role offers a 40-hour work week with a 2300-0700 schedule, contributing to safe and efficient instrument processing.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and CSPDT or CRCST certification within 2 years of hire; prior sterile processing experience is valued and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPDT) or CRCST within 2 years of hire.
• Prior sterile processing experience is valued.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to safety standards.
• Identifies manual and/or mechanical cleaning according to IFU for general instrumentation.
• Determines, prepares, and uses supplies required in the assembly process.
• Identifies, inspects, assembles general instruments, checking for cleanliness & functionality using count sheets.
• Packages and labels instrumentation.
• Safely operates sterilization equipment and perform verification and documentation of sterilization process.
• Performs high temperature (steam) and low temperature (gas plasma) sterilization.
