Job summary

Southend Pharmacy in Houston, TX is seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Pharmacy Technician to support sterile compounding operations on a full-time basis. This role ensures compliance, quality, and patient safety across the pharmacy.

Qualified candidates have at least 1 year in sterile compounding, an active Texas CPhT license, and an ACPE-certified IV sterile compounding credential. The schedule is 7 days on / 7 days off with night shifts and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Active CPhT license in good standing with TSBP.
• Current IV sterile compounding certification (ACPE-accredited).

Job Summary

Southend Pharmacy is seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Pharmacy Technician to support sterile compounding operations in a Full-Time capacity. This role is critical to maintaining compliance, quality, and patient safety standards within the pharmacy.

Work Schedule

Work Schedule: 7 Days On / 7 Days Off; Night Shift

Shift Days: Wednesday–Tuesday; Hours worked 74; will be compensated for 80 hours

• Wednesday and Thursday: 10-hour shifts: 9:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Friday - Saturday: 12-hour shifts; 9:00 PM–9:30 AM
• Sunday - Tuesday: 10-hour shifts: 9:00 PM–7:30 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Perform sterile compounding with precision and adherence to protocols
• Ensure accurate and timely medication preparation and distribution
• Maintain proper documentation and organization of medication records
• Monitor inventory levels and replenish supplies as needed
• Support compliance with all regulatory and safety standards

What We Require

• Active Registered Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) license in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP)
• Minimum 1+ years of recent experience in sterile compounding environments
• Current IV Sterile Compounding Certification (e.g., ACPE-accredited sterile compounding certification)
• Ability to work required PRN schedule and maintain flexibility
