Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver critical patient care during the Nights shift. You will conduct assessments, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The role requires strong clinical judgment, nursing expertise, and commitment to patient safety. This position is full-time, night shift (7:00 pm – 7:30 am) with 36 weekly hours at Mercy Health facilities.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state they are working or covered by compact (required).
• BSN preferred or 1 year RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes data, plans care, and evaluates outcomes.
• Administers medications safely following policies and procedures.
• Coordinates patient care across hospital departments and with care team.
• Leads patient teaching and coordinates care with families and caregivers.
• Supports quality improvement and patient safety initiatives within the department.
