Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers in Seminole, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our night shift nursing team on a full-time basis. You will care for patients in a behavioral health setting, performing comprehensive assessments and delivering safe, compassionate care during 12-hour shifts.

You bring an active Florida RN or LPN license, a nursing degree, strong assessment and communication skills, and a commitment to ethics and patient privacy.

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license in Florida.
• Nursing degree/diploma from an accredited school of nursing.
• Strong assessment and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication abilities.
• Ability to maintain objectivity and empathy in patient interactions.
• Adherence to the Healthcare Code of Ethics.
• Knowledge of state and federal confidentiality regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, including ASAM forms.
• Provide routine nursing care at various levels of care.
• Identify treatment needs and integrate findings into collaborative, measurable treatment plans.
• Complete nursing documentation in accordance with facility and state requirements.
• Review medication logs and assist the medical department with a variety of tasks.
• Administer medications as directed by the medical provider.
• Facilitate medication education for patients.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and referral sources on progress updates and post-discharge planning.
• Apply clinical judgment in crisis situations, including risk assessments and de-escalation.
• Build rapport and trust with patients through strong interpersonal skills.
