Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our Brick, NJ team. This casual/PRN role involves preparing laboratory specimens, labeling, routing, and data entry to support production goals.

You will lift up to 40 lbs and work evenings (6:00pm–2:30am) Mon–Fri with occasional Saturdays. A High School diploma or GED is required; prior lab or production experience is preferred; MS Office skills are beneficial.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens.
• Ability to accurately identify specimens.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Strong data entry and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.
