Jack Link’s Inc. is seeking a Smokehouse Operator in Wisconsin to monitor and operate smokehouse processes ensuring safe, high-quality finished products.

The role requires adherence to GMP, HACCP, and SSOPs, with shifts Friday-Sunday and Thursday-Sunday in the first two weeks. Ideal candidates will have a HS diploma or GED, basic cooking knowledge, and ability to work rotating shifts, with familiarity in fermentation or meat processing a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred: 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Load and unload product into and out of ovens.
• Work to increase efficiencies and product quality.
• Verify work and storage areas are maintained, safe, clean and organized.
• Monitor each smokehouse and product cook for accurate cooking process.
• Understand product thickness to adjust smokehouse process.
• Understand and rotate product within the smokehouse when needed.
• Follow good manufacturing practices and HACCP training, along with SOPs and SSOPs.
• Set oven controllers to correct program.
• Monitor oven cycles and product through testing samples.
• Perform tests such as pH, fat and moisture levels on products.
