Job summary

Great Lakes Cheese, Inc is seeking a Slurry Helper to support the Slurry Operator in maintaining proper blend of dry ingredients and ensuring smooth production in a cheese facility. The role involves following blend sheets, reading production schedules, weighing ingredients, and keeping work areas clean.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, ability to read schedules, and good communication. Candidates should be comfortable with standing, repetitive tasks, and using handheld

Qualifications

• Read production schedule and plan and organize workday.
• Self-motivated and can work with limited supervision.
• Good communication skills: verbal and written.
• Ability to operate a handheld computer/scanner.
• Ability to operate various Powered Industrial Trucks.

Responsibilities

• Read blend sheets and follow instructions to standardize blender.
• Follow production orders for groups.
• Assure sample cups are near blenders.
• Weigh and record items on sheets.
• Notify supervisor if any problems occur.
• Assist with training of new employees when requested by Supervisor.
