Edward Elmhurst Health is seeking a Sleep Technician Trainee for night shifts in Arlington Heights, IL. You will study under supervision, perform diagnostic sleep studies, and assist with therapeutic PAP titrations while ensuring patient safety and accurate data collection.

Ideal candidates are MVCC Sleep Technology students or STAR/ASTEP/CAAHEP/CPSGT certified technologists, committed to ongoing education and credentialing within the required timeline.

Qualifikationen

• Currently enrolled MVCC Sleep Technology Student with at least one full semester of clinical rotation.
• STAR/ASTEP/CAAHEP/CPSGT certified sleep technologist with 1 year minimum experience.
• Must obtain credentialing within 12 months if hired as STAR/ASTEP/CAAHEP/CPSGT.
• Current Basic Life Support CPR Healthcare Provider card.
• Commitment to ongoing education (10 CEUs annually) in sleep medicine.

Aufgaben

• Under supervision, perform and score adult and pediatric in-lab sleep studies and monitor sessions.
• Apply and titrate CPAP, BiPAP, and oxygen therapy per policy and CMS standards.
• Set up and calibrate monitoring equipment and record EEG/ECG/EMG/EOG and other sensors.
• Educate patients on mask fit, interface options, and PAP therapy prior to titration.
• Score and generate sleep reports, correlate events, and document in medical records.
