Job summary

NorthShore University HealthSystem is seeking a Sleep Technologist Trainee for the Arlington Heights, IL location. The role is full time (40 hours/week) with a night shift from 7:30pm to 6:00am and rotating weekends.

Training begins in day/afternoon shifts before transitioning to nights. You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies under supervision, calibrate equipment, document results, and provide patient education on PAP therapy and mask fit.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• STAR/ASTEP/CAAHEP/CPSGT credentialing pathway is preferred.
• MVCC Sleep Technology student or equivalent experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform and score sleep studies under supervision, monitoring and responding to physiological events per policy.
• Set up equipment, calibrate sensors, and ensure signal quality across EEG/ECG/EMG/EOG channels.
• Educate patients on mask interfaces and PAP titration prior to sleep studies.
