Job summary

Avery Dennison is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator in Painesville, OH. The role manages daily shipping, receiving, freight coordination, and inventory to keep operations running smoothly.

You will coordinate dock activities, process receipts in Oracle, and ensure accurate records. The position requires a high school diploma or 3+ years in logistics, forklift certification, and proficiency with Oracle ERP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing/logistics experience.
• Tow motor (forklift) certification required; DOT/Hazmat preferred.
• Computer proficiency (Oracle ERP preferred, MS Office).
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, handle shifting priorities, and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Freight & Dock Operations: Arrange freight pick-ups, load/unload trucks, and coordinate dock activities for incoming stock, scrap, and parcel deliveries.
• Shipping & Receiving: Inspect incoming raw materials, process receipts in Oracle, tag inventory, and prepare shipping documents (BOLs, packing lists, commercial invoices).
• Inventory Control: Perform audits, enforce FIFO procedures, and resolve stock discrepancies to maintain accurate digital and physical records.
• Collaboration: Partner with Customer Service, Supply Chain, and carriers to ensure on-time customer deliveries.
