Job summary

Avery Dennison is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator in Painesville, OH to manage daily shipping, receiving, freight coordination, and inventory. You will ensure accurate records, timely deliveries, and safe, efficient dock operations.

The role requires forklift certification and experience with Oracle ERP or MS Office. This position offers a structured night shift and a starting hourly rate with shift differential, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Arrange freight pickups and coordinate dock activities.
• Inspect incoming materials, process receipts, and prepare shipping documents.
• Perform inventory audits and enforce FIFO to maintain records.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Supply Chain, and carriers to ensure on-time deliveries.

Job Description

Shift: Nights, 7:00PM to 7:00AM

Pay: $22.09/hr plus $2/hr shift differential

Are you an organized, detail-oriented logistics professional looking to join a high-performing team? Avery Dennison is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator in Painesville, OH! In this role, you will manage daily shipping, receiving, freight coordination, and inventory to keep our operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Freight & Dock Operations: Arrange freight pick-ups, load/unload trucks, and coordinate dock activities for incoming stock, scrap, and parcel deliveries.
• Shipping & Receiving: Inspect incoming raw materials, process receipts in Oracle, tag inventory, and prepare shipping documents (BOLs, packing lists, commercial invoices).
• Inventory Control: Perform audits, enforce FIFO procedures, and resolve stock discrepancies to maintain accurate digital and physical records.
• Collaboration: Partner with Customer Service, Supply Chain, and carriers to ensure on-time customer deliveries.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing/logistics experience.
• Tow motor (forklift) certification required; DOT/Hazmat preferred.
• Computer proficiency (Oracle ERP preferred, MS Office).
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, handle shifting priorities, and work overtime as needed.
