Job summary

Leggett & Platt's Elite Comfort Solutions division seeks a Bun Shipping Utility Person to join our manufacturing team in North Carolina. The role supports daily shipping, inventory, and material handling operations during the 2AM–10AM shift.

You will prioritize tasks, manage bun inventory, operate conveyors and the Looper crane, assist with staging and labeling, and maintain safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3 months of experience operating heavy machinery preferred.
• Ability to assess and prioritize tasks independently at shift start.
• Strong safety and quality mindset.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate operational needs at the beginning of each shift and determine which functions require attention.
• Perform inventory responsibilities including tagging, scanning, locating, and counting bun inventory in High-Bay and Looper areas.
• Operate and monitor conveyors to assist with movement of foam through High-Bay and Looper.
• Operate the Looper crane to move, position, and organize foam inventory safely and efficiently.
• Participate in monthly inventory counts and ensure proper documentation.
• Fill in for truck line employees and crane operators during absences to maintain operations.
• Clear the pour line at the end of daily VISCO pours and prep for next cycle.
• Support shipping activities such as staging, labeling, pallet movement, and order preparation.
