Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician for our Moreno Valley distribution center. You will perform advanced maintenance on pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and conveyor systems and mentor junior technicians.

The role requires hands-on problem solving to keep the facility running and repairs issues as soon as discovered. The position typically works the third shift, roughly 10 PM to 6:30 AM local time, Sunday through Thursday nights, with responsibilities spanning safety, equipment

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of maintenance experience in a facility, distribution and/or manufacturing environment, or an Associate degree with at least 1 year of maintenance experience.
• Industrial electricity experience including single phase and three phase power, motors, protective devices and/or photo sensors.
• Experience with electronics such as photo sensors, PLCs, remote I/O modules, servo drives, VFDs and scanning systems.
• Willing to climb to the 100-foot level for repairs and lift up to 50 pounds; able to perform repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting and walking.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned preventive maintenance tasks and complex mechanical repairs to material-handling and other Distribution Center equipment.
• Uses CMMS to maintain distribution machinery and equipment according to manufacturer recommendations.
• Mentors and develops Maintenance Technicians and new Senior Maintenance Technicians under management.
• Maintains a safe work environment by documenting and correcting potential safety issues concerning material-handling equipment or DC facility.
