Job summary

Walden Security in Chattanooga, TN seeks a CTC Operator 1 to monitor CCTV and alarms, dispatch security staff, and support employees and guests. You will communicate incidents to leadership and coordinate life-safety responses end-to-end.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of customer service, and SOC/security experience is a plus. A Tennessee alarm monitoring license or ability to obtain is required or preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
• Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
• 1+ years of experience in a physical Security Operations Center (SOC) or related security roles preferred.
• Experience in alarm monitoring.
• Working knowledge of mass notification tools.
• Ability to analyze large amounts of information quickly and stay composed under pressure.
• Willingness to work a 24/7 operations schedule.
• Tennessee Alarm Monitoring License or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Monitor various tools to identify threats or risks to the organization.
• Coordinate response to life safety incidents and dispatch security personnel and emergency services as required.
• Maintain records of communications and events.
• Document incidents and notify appropriate parties for escalation or action.
• Ensure CTC systems are functioning and report deficiencies.
• Coordinate on-site security responses using surveillance and access control systems.
• Monitor extreme weather and other conditions affecting safety and property.
• Collect real-time information during ongoing emergencies and alert affected offices.
• Maintain situational awareness during civil demonstrations and other events.
• Manage security concerns via email, phone, and internal messaging platforms.
• Troubleshoot CCTV, access control, and security software platforms.
• Demonstrate strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
