Job summary

Specialized Treatment Facility in Harrison County, Mississippi is seeking a Security Officer II to maintain a safe environment for residents, staff and visitors. The role covers patrols, access control, emergency response, and coordination with local law enforcement as needed.

Duties include conducting rounds on all shifts, inspecting buildings and grounds, safeguarding doors and windows, fingerprinting individuals, processing badges, serving as switchboard operator, notifying staff of weather

Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma and 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Maintains certifications in MANDT, CPR and first aid as required by STF.
• Maintains a valid driver license and liability insurance to be a driver of a state vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Conduct facility rounds on all shifts and inspect unoccupied buildings for unlocked doors or windows.
• Safeguard facility grounds and residential buildings; respond to disturbances and coordinate with outside law enforcement as needed.
• Fingerprint individuals and process badges; serve as switchboard operator; maintain log books.
• Notify buildings of weather watches/warnings; notify appropriate personnel after regular maintenance hours.
