Job summary

You will intervene during incidents of violence or disruption, monitor security cameras and desk activity, and report unusual events. Responsibilities may include transporting lab specimens or mail as needed and working independently under minimal direction.

Qualifications

• Patrol hospital campuses and clinics to deter and detect security incidents.
• Intervene to subdue patients, visitors, or employees during violent or irrational episodes.
• Monitor access points and security systems; report unusual activities.
• May handle lab specimens or deliver mail/supplies as needed.

Responsibilities

• Patrol areas of hospital, Southwest Outpatient Clinics, Rehabilitation and Cancer Institute buildings and grounds.
• Respond to security incidents and ensure safety of staff and patients.
• Coordinate with security desk and monitoring systems to maintain situational awareness.
• Perform duties independently with professional conduct and flexibility to shift assignments.
