Job description

Job Title: Night Shift Screen Print Press Operator Location: Kingston, NY Pay: $20 – $25 per hour BOE Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM Job Type: Temporary

Job Summary:

This company is hiring experienced Screen Print Press Operators for a second shift at a Kingston production facility. This role owns the press from setup through teardown: dialing in each job, running clean prints to spec at production pace, and keeping the press moving through the night’s job plan. The right candidate knows M&R equipment, holds print quality at speed, and keeps downtime and misprints low so the shift hits its targets.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Set up M&R presses for each job — screens, registration, off-contact, ink and squeegee settings
  • Load garments and run automatic presses to spec (placement, color, coverage)
  • Perform test prints and get approval before running the full job
  • Monitor print quality throughout the run and adjust as needed
  • Tear down presses at job completion — pull screens, clean heads, and reset for the next job
  • Keep the press running efficiently to hit production targets and eliminate downtime
  • Perform routine press cleaning and basic maintenance
  • Reclaim / handle screens and manage ink as needed
  • Flag equipment, material, or quality issues to the night shift manager promptly
  • Keep the work area clean and organized
Skills:
  • Experienced with M&R screen printing presses
  • Skilled in press setup, loading, running, and teardown
  • Understanding of registration, off-contact, ink types, and cure temps
  • Strong attention to detail and consistent print quality at speed
Requirements:
  • Available Monday – Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) strongly preferred
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly and stand for a full shift
  • Dependable attendance and consistent on time starts
What success looks like?
  1. Is the press running clean? Set up fast, dialed in to spec, with minimal misprints and rework.
  2. Did the shift hit its targets? Jobs run to plan, smooth teardowns and quick changeovers, downtime kept low.
  3. Is the next operator set up to succeed? Screens reclaimed, ink managed, press and area clean and reset for the next job
