Job summary

ABM is seeking a reliable School Custodian to perform general cleaning duties in designated areas at a K-12 school, college or university campus environment. This full-time night position offers $20.00 per hour with on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices and common areas; operating cleaning equipment safely; disposing of waste; following safety and quality standards; and communicating with shift coordinators and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• One year of prior similar work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain designated areas such as classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices and stairways.
• Sweep, mop floors, remove debris and clean spills as needed.
• Empty trash and manage recycling in all designated areas.
• Follow safety procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Communicate with lead cleaner or manager about repairs or additions to facilities.
