Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or completion of sufficient education to successfully perform the duties of the position
• Previous experience in building and cleaning maintenance desirable
• Motor Vehicle Operator's license andability to provide own transportation
• Must be able to demonstrate a basic knowledge of cleaning
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to use most common hand/power tools
• Must possess sufficient physical ability to perform necessary lifting, lift and carry 70 lbs., standing, climbing, walking, etc.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning and maintenance in school buildings and grounds; maintain equipment in functional condition; provide a clean and safe environment for students, staff, and community members.
• Effectively utilize necessary equipment to perform essential custodial job functions
• Unload, transport and, maintain equipment, materials and supplies
• Assist with district and community activity/event set up and clean up
• Perform seasonal duties including lawn/landscape care and snow removal
• Promote good safety practices
