Job summary

Sirius Staffing is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for a direct-hire role at a large lumber operation in Leola, AR. The role leads day-to-day maintenance in a fast-paced sawmill, emphasizing safety, reliability, and cost control.

The ideal candidate has millwright or electrician background with at least 5 years in industrial maintenance, and direct lumber/sawmill industry experience. Onsite, night shift hours, and a strong path for development are offered.

Qualifications

• Direct lumber or sawmill industry experience required.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Journeyman Electrician or Millwright experience required.
• Demonstrated maintenance leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting in an industrial setting.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and planned maintenance activities.
• Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance activities with safety as the top priority.
• Supervise maintenance and cleanup personnel across varying schedules.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and support troubleshooting of sawmill production equipment.
• Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance, PM routes, scheduled repairs, and other non-emergency maintenance.
• Minimize equipment downtime while supporting production and quality objectives.
• Inspect completed maintenance work to ensure repairs meet operational and reliability standards.
• Monitor maintenance performance and develop, track, and communicate key metrics.
• Manage maintenance costs with a focus on lowering unit costs.
• Develop and coordinate equipment reliability and continuous-improvement projects.
• Coordinate parts and material requirements with purchasing personnel.
• Manage employee scheduling and attendance and provide training and mentorship.
