Job summary

Dessert Holdings is seeking a Sanitation Worker at our Smyrna, GA facility to perform the eight steps of sanitation and ensure adherence to food safety and GMP policies. You will contribute to a clean, sanitary plant for production and support SQF, HACCP, and GMP standards to protect food safety and quality across SRO products.

Qualified candidates will work in a fast-paced environment, lift up to 50 pounds, and comply with safety procedures while handling chemicals and PPE.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food safety and quality standards.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Flexible schedule including overtime and end-of-week cleaning.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Follow GMP and maintain personal hygiene.
• Stand/walk for 8 hours per day; capable of repetitive motions.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Work in hot, cold, wet, and dry environments.
• Take direction from leads, supervisors, and managers.

Responsibilities

• Wear PPE and follow GMP policies.
• Collaborate with sanitation and other departments.
• Follow SSOPs including eight steps of sanitation.
• Frequently lift hoses, equipment and chemical containers.
• Learn to clean and sanitize production equipment and environment.
• Perform all assigned duties.
