Job summary

Dessert Holdings is seeking a Sanitation Worker in Smyrna, GA to support sanitation of food production areas and equipment. You will follow eight steps of sanitation, adhere to GMP policies, and work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Expect a physical role with lifting, standing for long periods, and ability to handle chemicals. We offer benefits and training to help you develop within our dessert manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge on Food Safety and Quality.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have a flexible schedule which includes overtime.
• Must have a minimal ability to read and write in English.
• Follow GMP and maintains good personal hygiene.
• The position involves standing/walking on feet for at least 8 hours per day.
• Employee must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work in hot, cold, wet, and dry environment.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Work with chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Wear PPE and follow GMP policies.
• Work cooperatively with sanitation and other departments.
• Follow SSOPs including eight steps of sanitation.
• Frequently lift hoses, equipment and chemical containers.
• Learn to clean and sanitize food production equipment and environment.
• Perform all work duties as assigned.
