Job summary

Dessert Holdings in Pembroke, NC is seeking a Sanitation Worker to perform the eight steps of sanitation in our food manufacturing facility. You will follow GMP, handle chemicals safely, and work with production teams to ensure a clean, compliant plant.

The role requires standing most of the shift, lifting up to 50 pounds, flexibility for overtime, English literacy, and reliable transportation. We offer medical/dental/vision plans, paid vacation, holidays, and retirement contributions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food safety and quality principles.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Flexible schedule with overtime.
• Must read and write in English.
• Able to work in hot, cold, wet, and dry environments.

Responsibilities

• Wear PPE and follow GMP policies.
• Work with sanitation team and other departments.
• Follow SSOPs including eight steps of sanitation.
• Frequently lift hoses, equipment and chemical containers.
• Learn to clean and sanitize food production equipment and environment.
• Perform all duties as assigned.
