Job summary

Empire Bakery Commissary, LLC in Rocky Mount, VA is hiring a 2nd Shift Sanitation worker to handle daily plant housekeeping and sanitation. You will follow Sanitation SOPs, perform allergen cleaning, inspect equipment, move pallets, and assist with preventive maintenance. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 5:30pm to 3:00am, with pay at $19.75 per hour.

Primary location 515 Weaver St, Rocky Mount. Candidates should have experience in a plant environment, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced plant/production environment.
• Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Experience in a plant environment on assembly lines is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily plant housekeeping and sanitation.
• Follow written sanitation SOPs and allergen cleaning protocols.
• Clear production area of finished goods, raw materials, utensils, and other items not needed during cleaning.
• Dissemble, clean and re-assemble large icing equipment.
• Clean all facility areas including breakrooms, bathrooms, offices and production spaces.
• Perform preventive maintenance repairs on some equipment and inspect equipment after cleaning.
