Job summary

Bento is hiring a Sanitation Team Leader at our Chicago facility. The role oversees sanitation teammates, ensures clean environments, and maintains records to Bento’s standards. You will coach staff, coordinate with production and QA, and drive daily sanitation goals within a fast-paced setting.

The position requires leadership experience in sanitation or food manufacturing, strong communication, and knowledge of GMP/HACCP basics. Weekend/overtime flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in sanitation or food manufacturing leadership preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, GMPs, HACCP, and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Basic computer skills and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure sanitation teammates perform duties to established standards.
• Maintain cleaning supplies and documentation.
• Assign duties and coach sanitation teammates.
• Lead the sanitation team to meet production and sanitation goals.
• Verify proper cleaning of equipment and areas.
• Ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, SQF standards and safety rules.
• Train employees on sanitation procedures and safety practices.
• Collaborate with Production, QA, and Maintenance teams.
