Job summary

Leprino Foods in Allendale, Michigan is seeking a Safety Technician for the NIGHT SHIFT to support a 24/7 production facility.

This role focuses on safety training, on-floor safety engagement, record-keeping, and participating in pre-shift safety meetings across departments.

Minimum qualifications: Associate Degree in Safety Management or equivalent, 1 year industrial experience, OSHA 501 or HazMat a plus, and proficient with Microsoft Office; night shift availability required.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Safety Management or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year in an industrial setting, preferably food manufacturing.
• OSHA 501 or Hazardous Materials certification is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong written and spoken communication.
• Ability to work a night shift in a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities

• Help conduct new employee safety orientation and training.
• Facilitate or assist in safety training, compliance, and record retention.
• Maintain and improve safety postings, messages, and campaigns on the floor.
• Engage with production and maintenance on safety on the manufacturing floor (about 60% of time).
• Participate in pre-shift safety meetings and audits; support corrective actions.
