Job summary

Seneca Foods Corporation in Michigan is hiring a Sanitation Employee for the 3rd shift, with hours 9:30pm-6am, Monday through Friday, and occasional overtime. Pay is $21.83 per hour.

We seek a hands-on, safety-minded individual with a high school diploma and forklift experience, plus basic math and clear communication. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment, following GMP/HACCP/BRC training, using PPE, and contributing to safe, quality production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years forklift experience preferred (Food Processing a plus).
• Basic math and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle and properly use cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Use proper Lock-out / Tag-out procedures.
• Maintain and operate forklift safely at all times.
• Complete daily forklift inspection.
• Properly use steam / hot water system.
• Properly use product and material-handling pumps.
• Read and understand the English language.
• Tote and barrel dumping.
• Dipping cherries from totes.
• Pumping processing and brine tanks.
• Other tasks as assigned.
• Internal GMP/HACCP/BRC Training.
• Trained and knowledgeable in the use of PPE (personal protective equipment).
• Must pass respiratory fitness test.
