Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Safety Partner to join the Emergency Department team. This part-time (24 hours/week) night shift position supports a safe patient-care environment for individuals at risk due to suicide, falls, wandering, or agitation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• De-escalation training required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing a safe hospital environment for at-risk patients.
• Monitor patients at risk of suicide, falls, wandering, agitation, or self-harm to support safe care during admission.
