Sentara Norfolk General Hospital Emergency Department in Norfolk, VA, seeks a Safety Partner to support a safe environment for patients at risk of suicide, falls or agitation. The role is full-time, 36 hours weekly, on the night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM, located at a 53-bed Trauma One facility within Sentara's hospital system.

Requirements include HS diploma, BLS within 90 days, and de-escalation/physical intervention training within 30 days.

Formación

• Bachelor-level education not required; HS diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• De-escalation and physical intervention training required within 30 days of hire.
• Prior healthcare experience preferred; training provided for new hires.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain a safe hospital environment for patients at risk.
• Assist with monitoring and de-escalation as needed.
• Support nursing staff in patient sitting, monitoring and care activities.
