Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center in the Dallas area is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to perform ABG, PFTs and ventilator support for adults and neonates, under indirect supervision. The role requires state licensure, NBRC registration and at least 6 months of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board in good standing.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• At least 6 months of respiratory care experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform arterial blood gas analysis and cardiopulmonary diagnostic studies.
• Provide respiratory therapy including oxygen and aerosol therapy, bronchodilators and humidification.
• Administer and wean ventilator support; monitor patient response and adjust treatments.
• Assess patients and document bedside respiratory evaluations and medical records.
• Interpret CXR, ABG and PFT data to support clinical decisions.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and clean cardiopulmonary equipment and work areas.
• Adhere to infection control, safety and quality assurance protocols.
