Job summary

Jackson North Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for the RRT Specialty in the Respiratory Department. The role involves setting up and administering respiratory therapies for patients of all ages, including potential ECMO and nitric oxide therapies, under physician or CMO supervision.

The position emphasizes patient care across pediatric to neonatal populations, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with nursing and medical staff to optimize therapy outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related experience.
• Florida State Respiratory License required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC) required; STABLE preferred for NICU.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and monitors ventilator or oxygenation support.
• Assists in orientation, training and education of staff.
• Documents data from patient assessments and tests.
• Maintains safety and regulatory standards across the unit.
• Liaises with departments to coordinate respiratory care services.
