Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital in Ypsilanti, MI seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for full-time night shift. The role involves performing therapeutic procedures, operating advanced respiratory therapies, and participating in staff education and patient rounds under physician orders.

The ideal candidate will hold an RRT credential with NBRC, Michigan licensure in Respiratory Care, and BLS certification, contributing to high-quality patient care and ongoing department training.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner - Accredited Respiratory Therapist program; Registry eligible.
• Maintain current RRT credential with NBRC.
• Maintain valid State of Michigan License in Respiratory Care.
• BLS from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safe respiratory therapy practices; alerts leadership of safety issues.
• Performs duties of a Respiratory Therapist per AARC guidelines and ensures treatments follow physician orders.
• Assists in patient rounds and provides high quality patient care considering age and cultural needs.
• Participates in staff education, orientation, and training programs.
• Demonstrates knowledge of emergency procedures and equipment; ensures equipment safety and reports issues.
• Contributes to department policies, manages workflow, and supports conflict resolution.
