Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC) and NM licensure.
• BLS and/or ACLS and/or PALS certifications; 6–12 months of critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians with bronchoscopy procedures and monitors sedation and vital signs.
• Initiates ventilator protocols and coordinates ventilator management.
• Performs advanced airway care including tracheotomy changes, extubation, and intubation.
• Initiates and monitors high-frequency ventilators.
• In NICU settings, delivers surfactant and assists with high-risk deliveries.
• Optional duties include transport team, intubation, and backup charge therapist.
• Initiates and monitors Nitric Oxide delivery.
• Performs department-specific duties as assigned.
