Job summary

Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist for Baptist Clay. This is a full-time night shift opportunity. The candidate will work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment, assessing and treating patients with breathing disorders.

The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and nurses to develop individualized plans, administering therapies, and educating patients about breathing techniques and medications. Florida-licensed RT required.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science required for this role.
• BLS and general respiratory therapy credentials are required.
• ACLS and PALS are preferred.
• Florida Licensed Respiratory Therapist must be active.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with breathing disorders.
• Administering respiratory therapies.
• Performing and interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Monitoring and managing mechanical ventilators for patients who require respiratory support.
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Providing patient education and support on proper breathing techniques, medication usage, and lifestyle changes.
• Maintaining accurate and complete patient assessments, treatments, and progress documentation.
