Job summary

Qualifications

• Certificate required for Respiratory Therapist position.
• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
• RRT required per FL DOH.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required within 6 months of hire.
• AA/AS degree or higher may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with breathing disorders.
• Administering respiratory therapies as prescribed.
• Performing and interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Monitoring and managing mechanical ventilators for patients.
• Collaborating with physicians and nursing staff on treatment plans.
• Providing patient education on breathing techniques and medications.
• Documenting patient assessments and progress.
