Job summary

SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital - Shawnee in Oklahoma is seeking a Regular, full-time Respiratory Therapist for night shifts (7p–7a) with 3x12-hour shifts per week. You will assess patients, develop care plans, administer prescribed therapies, and monitor outcomes under physician orders.

The role requires an Associate's degree in Respiratory Care with licensure per state requirements. Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, inventory control, and education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent years of experience and education.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient to determine type and frequency of treatment and develop a care plan.
• Provide respiratory care services according to physician orders and department procedures.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment; document patient status.
• Evaluate adherence to treatment and adjust based on outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and available resources.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment; manage inventory and sterilization processes.
• Respond to emergencies and rapid responses as needed.
• Maintain alertness and safe work practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
