• Collects and analyzes health data to develop and implement an individualized plan of care for women and newborns.
• Coordinates care delivery to promote woman-, newborn-, and family-centered care.
• Evaluates progress toward expected outcomes in perinatal care contexts.
• Supports ethical decision-making and cultural diversity in care for women, fetuses, and newborns.
• Communicates and collaborates with women, families, providers, and the community to ensure safe, holistic care.
• Acts as a role model and mentor while maintaining knowledge of evidence-based perinatal nursing practice.
